Crushed sand (dust), often referred to as stone dust or quarry dust, is a byproduct of crushing rocks and quarry stones. It consists of fine particles, typically smaller than 4.75 mm, that result from the process of crushing larger aggregates. While it is finer than regular crushed sand, crushed sand dust has a more angular and rough texture.
It is commonly used in construction for filling voids, leveling surfaces, and as a compacting material. In some cases, it can be used as a replacement for natural sand in concrete production, though it may require careful grading to avoid issues like reduced workability or strength.
